hahhaa thanks man it's a pretty sick intro.....the intro solo sounds lame to me though I dunno why...but the acoustic with the phaser was sweet....
cool
A really cool sad song to check out from Hendrix is "May this be love" off of his "are u experienced" cd. Pretty good, I liked how it started out in the right speaker and moved to the left, that was pretty cool.
yeah I'll definately check that out I fucking love Hendrix. and actually it started in the right speaker then the harmonized guitar was in the left and the bass and this wierd backwards guitar part were in the middle. it was pretty simple I just panned guitar 1 to the right guitar 2 to the left and left the rest alone.
4 out of 5 wankerdanks
That sounded pretty cool. Got a little complicated though - too much stuff going on at once. Next time try playing the underriff (heavier one) thru once before soloing overtop, so the listener dosen't get confused. Also since the soloing riff is so interesting, the heavier riff dosen't need to change and go thru as many alterations as it did, that just adds to the confusenment(lol). I was waiting for a time where the heavier guitar and the soloing one would match up and play the same thing . . . that sounds really cool when 2 guitars playing differn't stuff all of a sudden match up together, then go back on different tangents again. By the way nice soloing, thats better than I could ever do
just suggestions, check out some of my songs & tell me what u think(not as good as urs but decent)
Thanks for the compliments man..the reason I didn't harmonize the guitars is because the rythm guitar had way different amp settings and shit (effects and whatnot) and it wouldn't sound right...I throw in a sick harmonized line in my next one for you though....and yeah I'll check out your stuff and leave a few reveiws....
yeyayayayaya good
cool intro. I like how it builds up and up then stops and goes back to where it started from. This could be real cool with lyrics on it! Good fuckin song man . . . . I wouldn't change a thing except maybe adding lyrics and if your feeling adventurous some drums in the more upbeat parts
thanks alot
redo it
The start was pretty good, singing needs a little work but its not that bad. The chorus however is terrible . . . I'm guessing you were goin for a Nirvana type thing but it just didn't work. You should definatly redo this song, it could be really cool
i didnt really have a set direction actually, i knew it was gonna be grungy, thats about it
should i re do the lyrics for the chorus? or is the whole chorus wrong?
things id like to know,
thanks
good song dude
It reminded me of uhm that christian band Collective Soul for some reason (no I don't like them, but it had that sort of feel to it). Pretty cool tho dude I'm gonna check out your other stuff
Sorry, but I hated it
Thats one of my fav songs . . . and you butchered it. I could live with the fake bass and drums, but the singing is fuckin sooooo bad. The song is supposed to sound sick and nasty and forboding and you made it sound happy! Sorry dude, but thats just my opinion
Sorry about the vocals, I agree with you that they weren't top dollar.
pretty cool
I think in the intro riff, it would be cool if once in a while you slide up the neck to get that voom sound . . . if you follow (forget about it if you don't). Got a little repetitive but not too bad, had a nice organization to it I think, everything blended together pretty smoothly. Might be too distortion heavy but if your doin a black metal song maybe you want that I dunno. Some of the parts where the solo guitar starts to play I would like to be louder, and also become more extreme and fast and go into a shredding solo dealy. Just suggestions look forward to hearing the song.
Yeah it is really distorted... and in the final version I will probably have some clean or acoustic guitar on parts... because especially at the end it gets so there is so much hiss you can't hear the melody very well... I'll try out what you said for the intro and see how it comes out... and there is no 'solo guitar' this is all one guitar... there will be a second guitar when I actually make the full song though and it'll be playing different things in parts to offset what I have for the main rhythm... doing arpeggios and all that good shit. Thanks for the review. \m/
liked it
good guitar skills. I absolutely hate drumming like that tho . . . but im guessing it was just like a drum program so its not that bad. Liked the song, wished it was longer. Parts of it were too distortion heavy I think, at least try it clean and see how it sounds you might be surprised. If possible get a real drummer to drum over this and resubmit, id love to hear it. Good tunage mang keep it up!
I can see how the drums can be annoying, but I was going for the no-brain drum sound because in the beginning the song was meant to be a joke. Thanks for the review!
me likey!
pretty damn good for being done in one hour . . . lemme re-frase that pretty FUCKIN BOOBALICIOUS good!!
I liked the bongos believe it or not. This had more of a video-game ish feel than most songs on here do (even though it wasnt under video game). Sorry I can't tell you what I like about it so much, but trust me this will be goin on my next mix cd! Good job mang!
I'm a total mang, you know. A FUCKING, BOOBALICOUS mang!
But enough about making fun of your atroucious spelling. Thank you for the kind review! I'm glad you liked it. I wish I had the time to reverb it now, but it's lost in the sea of demos at the Apple Store. (Probably deleted.)
I'm thinking of writing an orchastrated version of it. Once again, thank you for the review!
