That was wicked!

Awesome singing guitar playing, drum programing . . . fuckin wicked awesomness I'm trying to come up with some criticisms but i just cant haha. Badmans the shit at metal man, dunno about bassman, havent heard of him before . . . anyways thanks for the great tunesky!

rocker206 responds:

Thanks!

haha

funny stuffs, the singing would be better if you didn't hold back though, like just go all out yelling and stuff . . . i dunno how to explain it. Funny funny funny

TheRealStevieHendrix responds:

I just wanted to do some something funny, I figured the part when I try to take it up an octave would be when the people would be swaying the candles/lighters lol. Maybe I'll sing something serious one day, I've got a few serious compositions of my own. Or maybe I'll become the next Raffi, who knows?

got the hendrix flare

if you ever watch hendrix play live he mixes it up and does lots of improvs and modulations in his songs, and this one was full of those which i think is why i liked it so much :D

TheRealStevieHendrix responds:

Thanks for the compliments man! As for the other compliments being signed "Quoteman" that would be my little bro (he felt it nessesary to sneak into my room when I wasn't there and respond to them -_-). I just got into recording but have been playing a little longer :) Glad that you enjoyed it so much!

good playing

the effects were a little hi in some places tho i think, but o wells. I love hendrix myself (got all his studio albums) so that was really cool, good job man

TheRealStevieHendrix responds:

I liked the effects, the Little Wing solo part would have been pretty lame without something to dress it up. Once again thx for the compliments, you've made my day! Now to check out your stuff...

cool

It reminded me of the mothman prophacies, the soft unaudible creepy talking playing in the background that is. Very cool song . . . not as dark or sinister as i would have hoped by the name but still cool.

Paladin11286 responds:

Haha I plan on making it more sinister. The sample is from Donnie Darko (great movie by the way).

Good stuffs

Great stuff man, I'll have to remember to downlaod this when i get home

Chromatronic responds:

Don't forget.

yay

if your going for the hendrix style, i dont think the notes are tied in enough with each other, his stuff is more sort of smooth sounding with some hard gaps between the notes in places for the sake of variety, your soloing just isn't quite smooth enough . . . there are gaps between the differen't notes. But very good melodies are created, that are supported by the rhythems underneath. Also hendrix always has at least one little part where he goes crazy playing virtuoso style then comes back to the melodic stuff, its always fun to throw in one of those. These are just suggestions the song is very good as is and you should be proud of it

jaredpresley responds:

I agree. There's too much reverb on the actual 'soling' parts. Many of them are chordal though. Little Wing was the song that actually inspired me, as with the sus chords he uses.
yeah, I didnt do a all out solo like he does, especially with the wah. I may be thinking about doing that in the future.

very good!

the only suggestion i can think of would be to make some of the transiotions between your riffs smoother rather than always fading out of the old riff, making a few bridging dealies inbetween them would sound better i think. Just a future consideration as this song is pretty kickass and i wouldn't bother changing it if i was you

Claytron responds:

Thanks! I agree with the linking, I think itll be changed, but I dont think ill reupload it.

That for the review!

yeah

the intro was kind of sloppily played, it sounded like you don't quite have ur finger pressed hard enough on the fret so you get a sort of muffled sound. The next riff (beefed up version of the last) was very good however, and the song just got better from then on. I especially love the part where the first riff is played again and you have a sort of jazzy guitar overtop of it, that was sheer briliance!

Claytron responds:

Awsome! Once again thanks for the good review.

good stuffs

The drums were really well done IMHO. Good stuff man, a little too slow for me but it was a very groovin track. Post about your song in the audio adverstiment thread in the audio forum to get more reviews . . . the solo thing near the end sounded kinda choppy to me, try to make it sound more fluid by using hammerons and pulloffs and slides and stuff. Good song!

Claytron responds:

Thanks, it good to see that you review and give advice when you listen to songs! You dont see it much, ill post some advertisements later this week!
The drums were computer generated though, but I agree that they kick ass for a computer..

Thanks!
